Abstract

We present, as an introduction, a scene of Nouveau Roman, French literary movement which marked the decades of 1950 and 1960. The objective of this work is to understand to what extend the produced texts from this movement have influenced the occidental literary production of the second half of the XX century. The methodology considers the theoretical presupposes formulated by Alain Robbe-Grillet, without forgetting of its opponents and of the dialectics relations established with some romance produced in the period, especially The Modification, from Michel Butor. The results of the analysis points out to certain misfortunes and misunderstanding that the romanticism literature faced after overestimated interpretations of the Nouveau Roman. The conclusion that we can get to is that the classic matrices narrative prose, in spite of this and the other opposing movements, they carry on in effect in the masterpieces of higher highlight.
