Abstract

The article presents considerations on the implementation of the market and of the self-regulating system beyond the transformations that society has gone through as a result of the establishment of an economic system based on self-regulation. The research is of bibliographical nature and consisted in a study of conceptions coming mainly from Polanyi (2000) and Leff (2010). Initially, it presents some considerations on the functioning of a social organization without market interferences and, after that, it seeks understandings about how to organize a society which holds a market system, allowing to understand how was the process of implemention of a self-regulating in the nineteenth century. After these considerations, it has apprehend some of the changes occurred as a result of such economic transformations, which are present nowadays, essentially pointing out the consequences of environmental degradation coming from the connection between society and nature driven by the accumulation of capital.
